Miral Dizdaroglu(Biography)
Dizdaroglu has obtained his PhD at the Karlsruhe Technical University, Germany, and subsequently worked for 7 years at the Max-Planck-Institute for Radiation Chemistry, before moving to USA. He has been at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for more 30 years. In 2006, Dr. Dizdaroglu was conferred upon the rank of NIST Fellow. To date, he published highly cited 247 papers. Dr. Dizdaroglu received numerous scientific awards including the Hillebrand Prize of the American Chemical Society, and the Silver and Gold Medal Awards of the US Department of Commerce. He was also awarded two Honorary Doctorates.

Joseph H Banoub(Biography)
Joseph H. Banoub obtained his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry in 1976 from the University de Montreal, under the supervision of Stephen Hanessian.He spent 3 years as a ResearchAssociate with MDS Health Group at the National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, synthesizing neoglycoconjugate human vaccines. In 1979 he moved to St.John’s, Newfoundland, to take a position as a Research Scientist with the Federal Government of Canada, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, during this period he worked on the structural elucidation of various biomolecules, and climbed through the ladder of ranks successfully. He is currently Principal Senior Scientist and Head of the Special Project Program of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. He has held the appointment of Professor of Chemistry, Department of Chemistry since 2006 and Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Biochemistry, Memorial University of Newfoundland, since 1984. His present research interests include tandem mass spectrometry of biologically active molecules.

Prof. Rogatsky serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Chromatography and Separation Techniques (OMICS publishing group). During the last 10 years (from 2005) he has published over 30 scientific papers in per-reviewed journals (mostly as the first author) and has presented over 50 posters and lectures. Overall, he has made more than a hundred scientific presentations and publications. Eduard completed his M.Sc. in physical chemistry at Belarus State University (former USSR) in 1990. He completed his PhD in bioanalytical chemistry (Bar-Ilan University, Israel) in 1998. At the end of 1999, he started his post-doctorate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and became a faculty member since 2001 and was a mass spectrometry director at the Biomarker Analytical Resource Core. From October 2015 Dr. Rogatsky is a supervisor of the Chemical Threat Laboratory in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences at Wadsworth Center, Albany NY, USA and continue to be an Adjunct Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Martin Schimpf is the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Schimpf earned his Ph.D. in physical/analytical chemistry from the University of Utah. Since coming to Boise State University in 1990. He has been Principal Investigator on a variety of projects, including grants funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency. The provost supervises all academic units and programs, including 43 departments and 625 faculty serving nearly 20,000 students. Schimpf is responsible for ensuring the quality of the faculty and student body through leadership in areas such as academic policies, promotion and tenure, faculty recognition, library, the Honors College and academic support services. Dr. Suren A. Tatulian completed his doctorate in biophysics at the Institute of Cell Biology in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1979. He studied interactions of ions with lipid bilayer membranes, effects of lipid thermal phase transitions on ion-lipid interactions, and intermembrane interactions using particle electrophoresis, light scattering, neutron diffraction and other biophysical techniques. In 1992 he moved to the University of Virginia, USA, where he worked on interactions of peptides and proteins with membranes using infrared spectroscopy, circular dichroism, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Dr. Tatulian worked at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS, from 1999 to 2001 and then moved to the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, FL, as an associate professor. Currently Dr. Tatulian is at the Department of Physics of UCF, where he is teaching courses of physics and biophysics and is conducting research on protein-membrane interactions and structural aspects of interfacial enzymology.

A Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Paul Eggerstedt has been committed to separation technologies and processes for nearly four decades. He has been a named inventor on sixteen United States patents related to filtration and separation technology, has served as Principal Investigator on numerous U.S. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency research efforts, and has written, presented, refereed, and reviewed many dozens of technical and research papers and publications in the field of solids separations. A guest lecturer at Nagoya University, the University of Karlsruhe, and Texas A&M University, Mr. Eggerstedt was also one of the authors of the Handbook of Separation Techniques for Chemical Engineers. He has been a member and contributor to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and American Ceramic Society, and served as a research contractor at Argonne National Laboratory. The former President of an internationally recognized filtration company for over fourteen years, Mr. Eggerstedt is now active as a consulting engineer and mentor.

Dr. Sharma is Manager, Analytical Science & Assay Development at International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), USA. Dr. Sharma received a M.S in Chemistry from University of Connecticut and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Northeastern University, Boston under the direction of Professor Paul Vouros. Petra Perner (IAPR Fellow) is the director of the Institute of Computer Vision and Applied Computer Sciences IBaI. She received her Diploma degree in electrical engineering and her PhD degree in computer science for the work on “Data Reduction Methods for Industrial Robots with Direct Teach-in-Programingâ€. Her habilitation thesis was about “A Methodology for the Development of Knowledge-Based Image-Interpretation Systems". She has been the principal investigator of various national and international research projects. She received several research awards for her research work and has been awarded with 3 business awards for her work on bringing intelligent image interpretation methods and data mining methods into business. Her research interest is image analysis and interpretation, machine learning, data mining, big data, machine learning, image mining and case-based reasoning. Recently, she is working on various medical, chemical and biomedical applications, information management applications, technical diagnosis and e-commerce applications. Most of the developments are protected by legal patent rights and can be licensed to qualified industrial companies. She has published numerous scientific publications and patents and is often requested as a plenary speaker in distinct research fields as well as across disciplines. She is developing efficient data mining and big data methods and parallel computer architectures such as clouds. Her vision is to build intelligent flexible and robust data-interpreting systems that are inspired by the human case-based reasoning process.

King-Chuen Lin is a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Chemistry at National Taiwan University and a Distinguished Research Fellow of National Science Council, Taiwan. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, his PhD in Chemistry from Michigan State University, USA, and his postdoctoral career at Cornell University. Lay Harn was appointed as a professor by Universiti Sains Malaysia since 2001. She is now heading the Pharmaceutical Department of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She was the former deputy director of Dopint Control Centre, and has been appointment as the expert panel for R,D&C grant by Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia. Programme Coordinator for Toxicology Laboratory of National Poison Centre, Malaysia. Research Fello of National Institute of Phamarceutical and Nutraceutical Malaysia. Her research field is in proteomic study, she has patented her innovations on the urinary biomarker for diagnosis of kidney stone disease and protein biomarkers for differentiation of the source of gelatin either as halal or non-halal locally and internationally. Other research findings on the biomarkers potentially use as drug target and plant based useful proteins for industrial and medicinals have been published in peer reviewed publications. Besides being actively involved in research and innovation, she has also edited 5 books on cancer therapy and food suitable for cancer patients for the use of general public.

Prof. Şener has been graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1974 as the First Degree. She has completed her Ph.D. awarded by the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) at the Department of Pharmacognosy in 1977. In 1981, she became an Associate Professor. She was involved within the process of establishing Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University in 1982. She became a full Professor in 1988. She achieved some researches at the Department of Chemistry, The Pennsylvania State University (USA) between 1986 and 1988 as Visiting scientist awarded by National Science Foundation. Prof. Şener also involved several administrative works at Gazi University; as Director at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University between 1982 and 2002, as Chair at Division of the Professional Sciences of Pharmacy, as Co-Director at the Institute of Health Sciences (1988-1994) and as Dean at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University (1994-1997). Her main research field is development of bioactive compounds from Turkish medicinal plants and marine organisms, evaluation and standardization of Phytopharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals. She has won 21 awards from national and international institutions. Bilge Şener was given the degree of “Adjunct Professor†by University of Karachi –Pakistan. She has worked as Director in 48 projects supported by NATO, NSF, IUPAC, Soctrates-Grundtvig, TUBITAK and Universirty Research Funds by now. She has authored or co-authored 12 books, 77 chapters and 351 research articles published in leading international journals. She has also given 68 conferences and 256 plenary and invited lectures at the international symposia in the field of natural product chemistry. She has supervised 5 Ph.D., 13 M.Sc. at Gazi University as well as co-supervised 17 Ph.D. thesis at the University of Karachi. She is a member for 14 international and national professional societies. She has organized the VIth Symposium on Plant Originated Crude Drugs, May 16-19,1986, in Ankara, the 3rd IUPAC International Conference on Biodiversity (ICOB-3), Nov.3-8, 2001, in Antalya and the 9th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences (EuAs C2S-9), September 9-13, 2006, in Antalya. She recently organized the IUPAC 29th International Conference on Natural Products (ISCNP-29) and the 9th International Conference on Biodiversity(ICOB-9) in İzmir during the period of September 24-27, 2016. She was the Vice-Chair of the 14th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences (EuAs C2S-14), December 15-18, 2016 in Karachi-Pakistan. In the Ministry of Health, Prof. Şener worked in registration of medicines as a member of Main Scientific Board of Drug Registration between 1994 and 2002, as Chair at Main Board for Phytopharmaceutics, Nutraceuticals and Dietary supplements Licensing since 2000. During her sabbatical year in the dkfz (German Cancer Research Center) Heidelberg/Germany she studied the down regulation of CCR1 & CCRL2 chemokines in colorectal cancer cell lines and their effect on the prolifration colony formation and wound healing of these cells also the effect of down regulation on protein by doing western blot . Recently her research has focused on: 1- Dawn regulation of some chemokines in human brain cancer cell lines 2- Coupling between nano chemotherapy and in vitro therapy to treat breast cancer. 3- Study the in vitro effect of human serum proteins glycation on the breast cancer patients. She was a member of Iraqi Chemical Society since 1999, but the Society hasn't active since 2003.A member of Iraqi nanotechnology Society since 2013 till now.
